| Dunshaughlin GAA would like to invite you to our Sportsperson's Banquet in the Knightsbrook Hotel in Trim on Friday 31st October. As you know Dunshaughlin is a growing community and our GAA club must keep with the times and provide the best facilities for our players of today and most importantly our players and supporters in the future. This event is a club fundraiser from which the funds raised will go towards the development of new pitches and the construction of our new clubhouse.
The evening will start at 7.30pm with a champagne reception and music in the Swift Bar of the Knightsbrook Hotel. This will then be followed by a 5-course dinner and wine in the Barbican Suite. Our guests will be entertained by after dinner satire from our two guest speakers, a true sporting legend, former Irish Rugby Captain, British & Irish Lion and Kerry All-Ireland winner Mick Galwey, and Benny Tierney, the former Armagh All-Ireland winning goalkeeper from Mullaghbawn. . Our MC for the night will be Meath Co. Committee PRO and LMFM presenter Brendan Cummins, well known for his knowledge on all sports.
The night itself will not entirely be about sport. To add to your enjoyment we will experience exerts from River Dance performed by a group of Irish dancers led by Dunshaughlin's own River Dancer Marcus Maloney. Great comedy will be presented by comedian Eric Lawlor from RTE's "Joy in the Hood" who was voted Ireland's best comic newcomer in 2005. Music and song will be provided by the Navan Swing Band who will perform into the wee small hours.
Guests will have the opportunity to enter a grand draw to win one of our wonderful prizes and our Auction will also take place during the course of the evening, giving everyone the possibility to get their hands on one of our many exclusive auction items!
A Table for the Banquet will cost EUR1,500, which can seat up to 10 people. Tickets are also available @ EUR150 per person. Already, a lot of interest in this event has been generated so early booking is advised.
To reserve your table or tickets, please or if you require any further information, please contact the Graham Dowd (085-1682899), or Paddy Ward (087-8153633)
